Perfactory3 XGAMatrix 3D Design Software
Rapid Prototyping & Direct Manufacturing
The Aureus Desktop (DT) System, by envisionTEC, is perfectly suited for reproducing CAD designs created with Gemvision’s Matrix software in a castable resin. Designed to provide a low cost, high resolution solution based on the principle of Photopolymerisation, the Aureus allows thin-wall and even hollow parts to be produced. With its large envelope and high rate of build speed, the Aureus can produce 20-24 new jobs per day making it the ultimate medium-volume CAM solution.

Features
  • Easy handling through pre-adjusted material modules.
  • Build speed is constant through the build up to 3-7 mm per hour at 35 μm z-voxel thickness. (material dependent)
  • Very few moving parts and minimal consumable components guarantee a strong and reliable system.
  • Minimized components make the system user serviceable.
  • Post-processing is clean and simple due to near 100 % photo cure during the building process.
  • Models are suitable for direct manufacturing through Rapid Casting.
  • A choice of materials are available, from concept models to functional parts, such as envisionTEC nanocure resin for producing high detailed rubber and silicon molds, and envisionTEC PIC 300 and WIC100G for Direct Investment Casting.
  • Fully cured models are chemically safe.
  • Low acquisition cost.

Technology

········································
The Aureus creates 3D resin models by projecting a sequence of digital masks onto a photo curable polymer utilizing Texas Instruments’ DLP (Digital Light Process) chip which allows for high build speeds, excellent reproduction of detail, and unparalleled reliability.

Ease of Use
········································ The compact and mobile Aureus is designed to connect directly to a PC workstation or integrate into a network. System installation, operation, and maintenance is as easy as using a desktop printer.
Castable Resin

Castable Resin

········································
Other wax-based materials on the market tend to be far more brittle and harder to finish when compared with envisionTEC nanocure resin. The liquid photopolymer is suitable for secondary operations such as sanding and polishing. The resin melts into a liquid wax-like material during investment casting without the need for any high temperature burnout cycles. Although casting is not identical to wax, the burnout and casting required also works well for wax.
